This is my father-in-law, Nick Bogner, who died several years ago. The portrait was a gift for my husband. It was the most difficult painting I've ever done. Controlling the image using hot wax and a blow torch was a real challenge. While I painted, I thought about how good and kind Nick was and how much I wanted to honor him.
